Amelie Bennett has one purpose in life, to slay crossworld demons.
However, before she does that she has to graduate from her Guardian Academy and find a bondmate. Easy enough, right?
Normally, yes. But with her instructors being murdered and the mysterious connection between her and the new young substitute, things are slowly going to hell. And there's something Jackson knows that he isn't telling her.

All of those problems pale in comparison when she has to go on the run from everyone after they all believe she's a murderer and order the Guardians to execute her on site. But hey, at least she has Jackson to keep her company, right? ;D
But things are much more complicated than they seem. Will her and Jackson be able to make it out with their lives when everything is revealed?
Wow, okay.
Great. Freaking. Book.
Seriously. Like, go run to your bookstores and buy it.
I really liked this book. It was very interesting and it kept me on my toes. It gets a little confusing if you don't pay much attention to the little details like me.
I skipped a lot of the small details and by the time I was a quarter of the way through I was so confused I had to completely re-read it from the beginning so pay attention, haha. I loved Jackson, although part of me couldn't stop picturing him as a middle-aged man once they said he was a trainer.
Otherwise, it was a great book and I recommend it. :)
