Remember Me, part 1 by Christopher Pike & Doctor Who!

I just finished reading the first part of remember me the other day, and it was actually really good. Even better than I remembered it. I don't want to post any reviews until I finish the whole book, so you'll have to wait a bit for the reviews. Anyways, my posts may be scarce lately, but I have a good excuse!

I've been watching a nonstop marathon of Doctor Who via Netflix.

In honor of the most amazing Doctor, here's a Doctor Who gif set for your enjoyment. c:

*giggles hysterically*

I'm sorry for being such a bad-blogger? blog-host?
Oh well, you get the idea. I've just been so busy and I've been having issues finding free time to read. With school starting in a little more than a week (yuck!) and with school shopping, and friends, and Doctor Who, I really haven't been reading a whole lot, but I will now because a lot of my schedule has cleared up. c:

Remember Me by Christopher Pike

I'm currently reading Remember Me by Christopher Pike again, and it's pretty good!

I just wanted to say please, please, please, comment on my blog and recommend books, tell me what you think of my blog, etc.

Because I know you see my blog.
And you don't comment.

I would totally be like this:

Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead.

In the past Rose has overcome every obstacle in her path, no matter the odds, but now she may just be facing the one thing that could bring her down. Permanently. She's to be tried for the Queen's murder, an almost guaranteed death sentence despite her innocence. Fighting for her life isn't her only challenge, she also must carry out the Queen's last mission. Rose must find Lissa's illegitimate sibling to ensure her vote before it's too late. In the end it will take every last one of her allies working together for any hope at survival, let alone a happy resolution.

...

I have to say, I was very upset to see this series end. It was an amazing journey, not only for Rose and the other characters, but for myself while reading as well. I really did not see the end result coming. I was glad Rose was finally proved innocent, but I was very surprised that it was Tasha. I never liked her, though. I always knew there was something different about her that I didn't like. Although, I just thought it was because she had the hots for Dimitri. I'm very glad the series ended the way it did-with Rose and Dimitri finally together, Jill united with her long lost sister, and Lissa as queen. I think Lissa would make a good queen. I was upset the bond was gone, but I suppose it will give Rose a better way to guard her, using her instinct. All in all, I really enjoyed this series and was sad to see it end. I am very excited for the movie to come out. :)

Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead.

After a long and heartbreaking journey to Dimitri's birthplace in Siberia, Rose Hathaway has finally returned to St. Vladimir's-and to her best friend, Lissa. It is nearly graduation, and the girls can't wait for their real lives beyond the Academy's iron gates to begin. But Rose's heart still aches for Dimitri, and she knows he's out there, somewhere.
She failed to kill him when she had the chance. And now her worst fears are about to come true. Dimitri has tasted her blood, and now he is hunting her. And this time he won't rest until Rose joins him... forever.

...

This book was really amazing. In the last book, I was devastated.
But then, Dimitri comes back from being Strigoi. Of course, if anyone can come back from that, it would be Dimitri.
One thing that really irritated me in this book, was how Rose went through Hell and back to save Dimitri, and yet he gave all of the credit to Lissa!

I mean, I love Dimitri, and I understand that when he came back, he was going through some things, but really?!
Things Rose did for Dimitri:

  • Dropped out of school, after she just barely told she was going to be able to graduate.
  • Abandoned her best friend, along with almost any chance of being her Guardian.
  • Went to Russia to try and find him.
  • Faced down countless Strigoi for him.
  • Was used as a blood-whore.
  • Broke into a maximum-security prison to free her enemy.
  • AND MORE.

Things Lissa did for Dimitri:
  • Charmed a stake.
  • Staked him.
...

Rose did so much for him, and he gave all the credit to Lissa!
And Lissa should have helped Rose do whatever the hell she wanted after all she's done for her!

Besides that, it was a great book. :)

Blood Promise, by Richelle Mead.

DIMITRI'S HEART HAS GONE DARK.
Now Rose must journey to the ends of the earth to find-and kill-her one true love....

Or has the time come to join him?

My heart shattered. My world shattered.
You will lose what you value most....
It wasn't my life....It wasn't even Dimitri's life.
What you value most.
It was his soul.

...

*dies inside*

This book was.. Just wow. I can't even begin to comprehend the emotions that flowed through me. You really just have to read this one for yourself. Sure, like all books involving Rose Hathaway, there's some funny, snarky remarks. But overall, this book was sad and unsettling. I mean, Dimitri, Rose's one true love, has turned Strigoi. How could that happen? Not Dimitri.
After all they've been through together. Rose sure as hell isn't going to let Dimitri live out eternity as an evil creature of the night, I knew that as soon as Mason said he was Strigoi. I really wasn't expecting the events that happened in this book, however. It was insane.

Technical Probs!

Sorry I haven't been posting, there's been some problems with Blogger, and it made it very difficult to post.

I've been pretty busy, but I will try to make time tomorrow to post a review of Blood Promise by Richelle Mead.

Sentinel Teaser

On Jen's Facebook page, she shared a totally sweet Sentinel teaser, and I have it here to share with you. :)
Startled, my head jerked up and my eyes met his. They were a furious shade of gunmetal gray, and they were so open. Raw pain flowed from them, and I wanted to look away from that, to take the coward’s way out.

“My heart stopped when that damn door closed on me. I could hear you two fighting. I could hear him taunting you, and I could hear him breaking your bones. And there wasn’t a damn thing I could do about it.” He placed his hands on either side of my legs. Tension rippled through the muscles in his arms. “You never should’ve faced something like that alone.”
“But you would’ve died.”
“And because I love you, I am willing to die to save you from that. Don’t you dare take that decision from me again.”

***

Excuse me while I swoon.

Aiden is so perfect. Pretty much every character from Jen's books are. But in different ways. Daemon is perfect with a dash of cocky arrogance. Aiden is perfect with a dash of modesty.

I just love Aiden. How he is with Alex. The way he's risking everything to be with her.

Alex Andros from Jennifer Armentrout's Half Blood Series is up for Feisty Female!

We all know the drool-worthy guys from books have a contest, but you never hear a whole lot of stuff about the girls.

But right now, there's a contest going on for Feisty Female and you can vote for Alex!

Vote HERE.

BIG BIG NEWS!

Big, big news coming straight from Jennifer's blog.

Obsidian is being considered for a film.

A FILM.

A. FILM.

*squeals*

Just one Supernatural gif simply would not do for this massive news.

A MOVIE.

Okay, so while I am so so excited, I also have a few opinions/concerns about this.

1. Whenever a book turns into a movie, they always leave a few things out. And I love this series so so much and I don't know if I could deal with that. What if they left out something important to us that they don't think is important?

2. Throughout the entire series, I pictured Daemon and Katy as the cover models. But they're obviously going to cast someone else, and I don't know if the actors will portray the characters right.

So basically while I am so excited the movie news, if it does become a movie, I'm not going to get my hopes up for it to be as good as the book.

Here's a couple of articles about the movie news from Jen's website.

Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead, the third book in the Vampire Academy Series!

It's springtime at St. Vladimir's Academy, and Rose Hathaway is this close to graduation. Since making her first Strigoi kills, Rose hasn't been feeling quite right. She's having dark thoughts, behaving erratically, and worst of all...might be seeing ghosts.

As Rose questions her sanity, new complications arise. Lissa has begun experimenting with her magic once more, their enemy Victor Dashkov might be set free, and Rose's forbidden relationship with Dimitri is starting to heat up again. But when a deadly threat no one saw coming changes their entire world, Rose must put her own life on the line--and choose between the two people she loves most.

This book really just killed me a little inside.

It was amazing.

I was so upset. I cried. A lot. I laughed. A lot.

It was really a good book, but the emotions that it brought were just.. there are no words for it. I don't want to give away too much, but seriously  If you've been reading this series, and you stopped, you're going to want to start reading it again.
This book. Will make you cry. I don't care if you're a 300 pound pro-wrestler. Tears. Will. Come.

Read it! :)

Frigid Trailer!

Hey guys! I have the Frigid Trailer to share with you today!

For twenty-one-year-old Sydney, being in love with Kyler isn’t anything new. They’d been best friends ever since he pushed her down on the playground and she made him eat a mud pie. Somewhere over the years, she fell for him and fell hard. The big problem with that? Kyler puts the ‘man’ in man-whore. He’s never stayed with a girl longer than a few nights, and with it being their last year in college, Syd doesn’t want to risk their friendship by declaring her love.

Kyler has always put Syd on a pedestal that was too high for him to reach. To him, she’s perfect and she’s everything. But the feelings he has for her, he’s always hidden away or focused on any other female. After all, Kyler will always be the poor boy from the wrong side of tracks, and Syd will always be the one girl he can never have.

But when they’re stranded together at a posh ski resort due to a massive Nor’easter, there’s nothing stopping their red-hot feelings for each other from coming to the surface. Can their friendship survive the attraction? Better yet, can they survive at all? Because as the snow falls, someone is stalking them, and this ski trip may be a life-changer in more ways than one.

Frostbite by Richelle Mead!

"Lissa Dragomir is a Moroi princess: a mortal vampire with a rare gift for harnessing the earth's magic. She must be protected at all times from Strigoi; the fiercest vampires-the ones who never die. The powerful blend of human and vampire blood that flows through Rose Hathaway, Lissa's best friend, makes her a Dhampir. Rose is dedicated to a dangerous life of protecting Lissa from the Strigoi, who are hell-bent on making Lissa one of them.

Rose has serious guy trouble. Her gorgeous tutor, Dimitri, has his eye on someone else, her friend Mason has a huge crush on her, and she keeps getting stuck in her best friend Lissa's head while she's making out with her boyfriend, Christian.

Then a nearby Strigoi attack puts St. Vladimir's on high alert, but the Academy whisks it's students away on a mandatory holiday ski trip. But the glittering winter landscape and post Idaho resort only provide the illusion of safety. When three students run away to strike back against the deadly Strigoi, Rose must join forces with Christian to rescue them. Only this time, Rose-and her heart-are in more danger that she ever could have imagined."

Okay, wow.
I really loved this book. I loved the drama, and the excitement. It made me laugh, it made me cry, and it sure as hell kept me on my toes.

Dimitri and Rose were totally awesome in this book, as expected. This series is really good and I strongly suggest it.

Here's some of my favorite lines.

--WARNING, SPOILERS--

"Wow, what'd he do to deserve that? Rescue orphans from a burning building?"
...

"It's time for practice."

He shook his head. "No. No practice today. You still need to recover."

"I've got a clean bill of health. I'm good to go." I pushed as much patented Rose Hathaway bravado into my words as I could.

Dimitri wasn't falling for any of it. He gestured to the chair beside him. "Sit down, Rose."

I hestitated only a moment before complying. He moved his own chair close to mine so that we sat directly across from each other. My heart fluttered as I looked into those gorgeous dark eyes.

...

"I. . ." I shut my mouth before my jaw hit the floor. "But. . . why? That was a once-in-a-lifetime thing. You could have had a baby. And she . . . she was, you know, into you . . ."

The ghost of a smile flickered on his face. "Yes, she was. Is. And that's why I had to say no. I couldn't return that . . . couldn't give her what she wanted. Not when . . ." He took a few steps toward me. "Not when my heart is somewhere else."

...

Kayden vs. Cam on the NA Crush Tournament!

While indulging in my daily dose of blogging, I found that Cam is up against Kayden in the NA Crush Tournament, which is a contest similar to the YA Crush Tournament.

This might be a little difficult for me, seeing as how they are both from some of my favorite books, so instead of just telling you who you should vote for with some smexy deets in hopes of swaying your opinion, I'm going to post some swoon-worthy bits of information on both of them and let you decide.

BEWARE: There may be spoilers!

Cam

Um, can I just say, wow.

First of all, look at those blue eyes! I don't think I've seen eyes like that before, ever.
And those expressive lips look like softer than a baby's bottom!
Top that off with his smoldering stare, and it makes one deadly combination.

Oh, and did I mention, he bakes?

...

Kayden

Excuse me while I swoon.

Not only does he have a very sexy protective nature, but he has a very sweet demeanor toward Callie. They understand each other, both having a haunted past.

And then of course, there's the obvious.

His looks, with all those totally ripped muscles, to those totally kissable lips, I think it's safe to say Kayden is smexy.

...

Both of these boys are in my top list of book boyfriends, which makes it very hard to choose for me. They're both awesome, and make for great characters.

You can make your choice and vote here:

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

Hey guys! Well right now I'm in Florida so I might not post as much, but I will try to post as much as I can. Anywho, here's the review for Vampire Academy. I read this series before years ago, but I say Dimitri on the YA Sisterhood and figured it was worth a reread.

Here's the cover and blurb for Vampire Academy.

Lissa Dragomir is a Moroi princess: a mortal vampire with an unbreakable bond to the earth's magic. She must be protected at all times from Strigoi, the fiercest and most dangerous vampires - the ones who never die.

The powerful blend of human and vampire blood that flows through Rose Hathaway, Lissa's best friend, makes her a Dhampir. Rose is dedicated to a dangerous life of protecting Lissa from the Strigoi, who are hell-bent on making her one of them.

After two years of illicit freedom, Rose and Lissa are caught and dragged back to St. Vladimir's Academy, hidden in the deep forests of Montana. Rose will continue her Dhampir education. Lissa will go back to being Queen of the elite Moroi social scene. And both girls will resume breaking Academy hearts.

Fear made Lissa and Rose run away from St. Vladimir's - inside the Academy's iron gates, their world is even more fraught with danger. Here, the cutthroat ranks of the Moroi perform unspeakable rituals, and their secretive nature and love of the night creates an enigmatic world full of social complexities. Rose and Lissa must navigate through this dangerous world, confront the temptation of forbidden romance, and never once let their guard down, lest the Strigoi make Lissa one of them forever...

Okay, I've read quite a few vampire books, and this one takes the cake. It's definitely not like any others, and I really like that about this book.

Rose is just, well, for lack of a better word, awesome. She's reckless, (which definitely makes for a good character) she's fun, she's sarcastic, and I really love how throughout the story you can see her start to get more and more responsible. I really think she'll be a kickass guardian.

Lissa is pretty cool, I guess. I mean, if I was here I would feel pretty guilty for always having to rely on someone else to take care of me. Why doesn't she act a little more independent? I suppose it's different in that world.

Dimitri is smexy!
He's protective, badass, and totally the kind of a guy you want to take home to meet your parents (that is, if parental systems worked the same in this world). And his little quirks, such as the cowboy obsession and the fact he fancies music from before I was born, only make us love him more!

WARNING: SPOILER AHEAD.

My favorite part:

"Rose. Roza. Open your eyes." I'd never heard his voice so strained, so frantic. "Don't go to sleep on me. Not yet."
I squinted up at him as he carried me out of the building, practically running toward the clinic. "Was he right?"
"Who?"
"Victor...he said it couldn't have worked. The necklace."
I started to drift off, lost in the blackness of my mind, but Dimitri prompted me back to consciousness.
"What do you mean?"
"The spell. Victor said you had to want me...to care about me...for it to work." When he didn't say anything, I tried to grip his shirt, but my fingers were too weak. "Did you? Did you want me?"

His words came out thickly. "Yes, Roza. I did want you. I still do. I wish...we could be together."
"Then why did you lie to me?"
We reached the med clinic, and he managed to open the door while still holding me. As soon as he stepped inside, he began yelling for help.

"Why did you lie?" I murmured again.
Still holding me in his arms, he looked down at me. I could hear voices and footsteps getting closer.
"Because we can't be together."
"Because of the age thing, right?" I asked. "Because you're my mentor?"
His fingertip gently wiped away a tear that had escaped down my cheek.  "That's part of it," he said. "But also...well, you and I will both be Lissa's guardians someday. I need to protect her at all costs. If a pack of Strigoi come, I need to throw my body between them and her."
"I know that. Of course that's what you have to do." The black sparkles were dancing in front of my eyes again. I was fading out.
"No. If I let myself love you, I won't throw myself in front of her. I'll throw myself in front of you."

*Swoons*

All together, I really loved this book and I'm really glad I decided to reread this series. I'm about halfway through the second book but it might take me a while longer than usual to read it because I'm on vacation.

New Book to Read! Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins

My friend recommended a book to me called Sweet Evil and she seemed pretty insistent that I read it, I believe her words were, "OMG YOU HAVE TO READ IT."

So I will probably start reading it sometime tomorrow. I'm going to Florida on Wednesday so tomorrow will mostly be packing and cleaning, but I will try to get as far as I can on it.

Here's the cover for Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins followed by the blurb from Goodreads.

Jesus, there go my ovaries.

And here's the blurb:
Embrace the Forbidden

What if there were teens whose lives literally depended on being bad influences?

This is the reality for sons and daughters of fallen angels.
Tenderhearted Southern girl Anna Whitt was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She's aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but it isn't until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. Forced to face her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns?

Eeee!

I'm super excited to read this book!

The Vampire Academy reread!

I saw that Dimitri was on the YA Sisterhood tournament, and although I read the Vampire Academy series already a couple years back, I decided it was worth a reread.

Dimitri is smokin'! And the fact that he's totally off limits boosts his swoon-level a bit. ;)
...

Also, don't forget to vote for Dimitri on the YA Sisterhood! You can vote here:

Finished Hush, Hush!

I just finished Hush, Hush and let me say, eeeeeee!

I really liked this book. Normally when I read books I can kind of get a feel for the characters and what to think of them, but Patch definitely kept me wondering.
I mean, the entire time I wondered, is he a good person? Which, I guess the end pretty much explained why I wondered so much. Patch was, however, no doubt swoon-worthy. In my top ten book boyfriends. :)

And Nora was such a great character, I loved her! I questioned her decisions sometimes, but I thought she was awesome overall. c:

Anyways, this book was pretty swoon-worthy overall.

GO BUY IT.
Get it on your e-reader, run to the nearest book store, whatever. Just get it!
This was such a great book, it's up in my top 5 fav's.

And I don't take book favorites lightly.

Also, Hush, Hush will soon become a movie! Yeee!

But Vee, man oh man, every time I read about her I wanted to throw my e-reader.

I. Do. Not. Like. Vee.

*Warning, Spoilers ahead!*

...

I get she had some angel mojo pulled on her, but seriously?! The way she defended Elliot after he attacked Nora because Vee wouldn't go camping with them?! SERIOUSLY?!

What. A. Bitch.

She made me want to jump in the book and murder her myself!

...

Also, Jen posted an Origin Photo teaser due to Daemon's tournament win!

Excuse me while I swoon.

Keep up voting for Daemon during his matches on the YA Sisterhood! Remember, if he wins the whole tournament, Jen is going to write Opal in Daemon's POV!

Reading Hush,Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

So, I'm currently reading Hush,Hush and it's pretty good so far! I'm at the part where they are at the arcade with Elliot and Jules and the see Patch there. Vee is totally messing things up and creating drama. I mean, so far, to be honest, I really don't like Vee. I mean I thought she was cool at first, but she basically told Nora to put on some makeup because she looked like a boy. What kind of friend does that?! Not to mention she just LIED to Elliot, in hopes of creating drama that could potentially mortify Nora.

Sounds like one crappy friend to me, and I mean I get that she thinks she's helping, but no. I could not be friends with a girl like that, ever.

DAEMON WON HIS SECOND MATCH!

I just looked at the YA Sisterhood and Daemon beat Noah!

To all of you who voted, we're awesome! :)

Don't forget that if Daemon wins the whole tournament Jen will write Opal entirely in Daemon's POV!

So keep it up!

Wait For You by Jennifer Armentrout

Some things are worth waiting for…
Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.
 Some things are worth experiencing…
Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… solickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.
Some things should never be kept quiet…
But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she’s has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?
And some things are worth fighting for…

I really liked this book! I loved Cam and his personality! It was different from other books, in a really great way. Jennifer has outdone herself! :)

I really suggest you reading this book!
The blurb above is straight from Jen's website, as are the following pictures.

And here is a Trust In Me photo teaser from Jen's blog!

Trust In Me is Wait For You entirely in Cam's POV.

...

Also, Daemon is up again in the YA tournament. He's winning at the moment, but still remember to vote for him here!

Daemon is up again in the Tournament!

I just checked out The YA Sisterhood and their blog and Daemon is up again in the tournament! Please go vote for Daemon again!
Why?
Well, besides other obvious reasons, here's why.
-Because Daemon is perfection.
-Because if he wins Jen is going to give us the entire last chapter of Opal in Daemon's POV.
-Because he's absolutely swoon-worthy and deserves it!
-Because a simple look from him can destroy ovaries.

Here's a couple of pictures of him straight from The YA Sisterhood.

Aaaandd, cue the exploding ovaries.

Cam from Wait For You is on the NA Crush Tournament!

Cam from Jen's book Wait For You is competing on the NA Crush tournament!

I will post a review on Wait For You later tonight, because in a little bit I am going to watch the fireworks, but for now, vote for Cam! :) Jen is giving some yummy POV scenes if he wins. :)

Here's a couple of pictures straight from Jen's blog.

Yeee!

Oh daimon babies, he's def in my top ten swoon-worthy book boyfriends.
Vote for Cam!

Frigid Early Release Possibility!

First off, I would just like to start off by saying, I WON JENNIFER'S CONTEST!

Yep, that's right! I won a snowboard charm. :)

...

On to more important news, (if there is anything more important than me winning the contest) if Jennifer gets enough pre-orders for Frigid, then we get an early release! :)

So get your booties onto Barnes and Noble or Amazon and pre-order Frigid!

Here's the blurb for Frigid, straight from Jennifer's website.

And here's the totally swoon-worthy cover. ;)

The Destiny of Violet and Luke by Jessica Sorensen

Hey guys, remember the review I posted about the Coincidence of Callie and Kayden? Not only is there one more book in the Coincidence series, there's two more! However, the third isn't about Callie and Kayden, it's about Luke!

I remember when I read about how Luke's sister Amy took her life and I thought that his dislike for Daisy might have something to do with that.
Maybe Amy was bullied by someone like Daisy and that's why he can't stand her?

Anyways, I'm super excited for this book to come out, as well as The Redemption of Callie and Kayden. You can also preorder both of them now on Amazon, and here's the link.

The cover isn't out yet, but I'm sure it will be as swoon-worthy as the others. ;)

When I finished reading The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden, I pretty much just sat there for like 5 minutes staring at the ending page.

^^ My face.

I mean, what a great ending! An evil ending, but great nonetheless. But at least now that I know that The Redemption of Callie and Kayden is coming out I know Kayden doesn't die. :)
