Remember Me, part 1 by Christopher Pike & Doctor Who!

I just finished reading the first part of remember me the other day, and it was actually really good. Even better than I remembered it. I don't want to post any reviews until I finish the whole book, so you'll have to wait a bit for the reviews. Anyways, my posts may be scarce lately, but I have a good excuse!

I've been watching a nonstop marathon of Doctor Who via Netflix.

In honor of the most amazing Doctor, here's a Doctor Who gif set for your enjoyment. c:

*giggles hysterically*

I'm sorry for being such a bad-blogger? blog-host?
Oh well, you get the idea. I've just been so busy and I've been having issues finding free time to read. With school starting in a little more than a week (yuck!) and with school shopping, and friends, and Doctor Who, I really haven't been reading a whole lot, but I will now because a lot of my schedule has cleared up. c:

I just wanted to say please, please, please, comment on my blog and recommend books, tell me what you think of my blog, etc.

Because I know you see my blog.
And you don't comment.

I would totally be like this:

Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead.

In the past Rose has overcome every obstacle in her path, no matter the odds, but now she may just be facing the one thing that could bring her down. Permanently. She's to be tried for the Queen's murder, an almost guaranteed death sentence despite her innocence. Fighting for her life isn't her only challenge, she also must carry out the Queen's last mission. Rose must find Lissa's illegitimate sibling to ensure her vote before it's too late. In the end it will take every last one of her allies working together for any hope at survival, let alone a happy resolution.

...

I have to say, I was very upset to see this series end. It was an amazing journey, not only for Rose and the other characters, but for myself while reading as well. I really did not see the end result coming. I was glad Rose was finally proved innocent, but I was very surprised that it was Tasha. I never liked her, though. I always knew there was something different about her that I didn't like. Although, I just thought it was because she had the hots for Dimitri. I'm very glad the series ended the way it did-with Rose and Dimitri finally together, Jill united with her long lost sister, and Lissa as queen. I think Lissa would make a good queen. I was upset the bond was gone, but I suppose it will give Rose a better way to guard her, using her instinct. All in all, I really enjoyed this series and was sad to see it end. I am very excited for the movie to come out. :)

Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead.

After a long and heartbreaking journey to Dimitri's birthplace in Siberia, Rose Hathaway has finally returned to St. Vladimir's-and to her best friend, Lissa. It is nearly graduation, and the girls can't wait for their real lives beyond the Academy's iron gates to begin. But Rose's heart still aches for Dimitri, and she knows he's out there, somewhere.
She failed to kill him when she had the chance. And now her worst fears are about to come true. Dimitri has tasted her blood, and now he is hunting her. And this time he won't rest until Rose joins him... forever.

...

This book was really amazing. In the last book, I was devastated.
But then, Dimitri comes back from being Strigoi. Of course, if anyone can come back from that, it would be Dimitri.
One thing that really irritated me in this book, was how Rose went through Hell and back to save Dimitri, and yet he gave all of the credit to Lissa!

I mean, I love Dimitri, and I understand that when he came back, he was going through some things, but really?!
Things Rose did for Dimitri:

  • Dropped out of school, after she just barely told she was going to be able to graduate.
  • Abandoned her best friend, along with almost any chance of being her Guardian.
  • Went to Russia to try and find him.
  • Faced down countless Strigoi for him.
  • Was used as a blood-whore.
  • Broke into a maximum-security prison to free her enemy.
  • AND MORE.

Things Lissa did for Dimitri:
  • Charmed a stake.
  • Staked him.
...

Rose did so much for him, and he gave all the credit to Lissa!
And Lissa should have helped Rose do whatever the hell she wanted after all she's done for her!

Besides that, it was a great book. :)

Blood Promise, by Richelle Mead.

DIMITRI'S HEART HAS GONE DARK.
Now Rose must journey to the ends of the earth to find-and kill-her one true love....

Or has the time come to join him?

My heart shattered. My world shattered.
You will lose what you value most....
It wasn't my life....It wasn't even Dimitri's life.
What you value most.
It was his soul.

...

*dies inside*

This book was.. Just wow. I can't even begin to comprehend the emotions that flowed through me. You really just have to read this one for yourself. Sure, like all books involving Rose Hathaway, there's some funny, snarky remarks. But overall, this book was sad and unsettling. I mean, Dimitri, Rose's one true love, has turned Strigoi. How could that happen? Not Dimitri.
After all they've been through together. Rose sure as hell isn't going to let Dimitri live out eternity as an evil creature of the night, I knew that as soon as Mason said he was Strigoi. I really wasn't expecting the events that happened in this book, however. It was insane.

Technical Probs!

Sorry I haven't been posting, there's been some problems with Blogger, and it made it very difficult to post.

I've been pretty busy, but I will try to make time tomorrow to post a review of Blood Promise by Richelle Mead.

Sentinel Teaser

On Jen's Facebook page, she shared a totally sweet Sentinel teaser, and I have it here to share with you. :)
Startled, my head jerked up and my eyes met his. They were a furious shade of gunmetal gray, and they were so open. Raw pain flowed from them, and I wanted to look away from that, to take the coward’s way out.

“My heart stopped when that damn door closed on me. I could hear you two fighting. I could hear him taunting you, and I could hear him breaking your bones. And there wasn’t a damn thing I could do about it.” He placed his hands on either side of my legs. Tension rippled through the muscles in his arms. “You never should’ve faced something like that alone.”
“But you would’ve died.”
“And because I love you, I am willing to die to save you from that. Don’t you dare take that decision from me again.”

***

Excuse me while I swoon.

Aiden is so perfect. Pretty much every character from Jen's books are. But in different ways. Daemon is perfect with a dash of cocky arrogance. Aiden is perfect with a dash of modesty.

I just love Aiden. How he is with Alex. The way he's risking everything to be with her.
